Deputy Accounting Manager

Role Purpose
  • To oversee and manage all accounting activities
  • To manage performance and develop capabilities of accounting staff
Key Accountabilities
  • Provide financial reports and data to Deputy Finance Manager/Chief Accountant/CEO/Directors on timely basis. 
  • Provide Chief Accountant/Directors/Managers with tax advice
  • Cash flow planning and execution of approved payment plan. 
  • Manage company’s bank account & all payment transactions.
  • Reviewing, checking accounting transactions including accounting input to accounting software (payment, receipts…) in accordance with internal policies, budget and also mitigating material mistakes.
  • Manage all company’s payables & receivables. 
  • Timely submission and compliances with all Accounting and Statutory requirements of Vietnamese Accounting Standards, Tax and financial reporting standards. 
  • Preparing/reviewing taxes declaration (FCT, PIT, CIT) and other relavant taxes matters; Controlling/reporting the status of using invoice and other documents be used similar to invoice
  • Ensure consistent G/L accounts be used in booking; Reconcile BS accounts to have details of movements;
  • Guide accountants to correct method of bookings; Assist in mapping IFRS with VAS to have standard Financial reports
  • Establish effective internal control procedures to improve accounting and operational processes. 
  • Liaise with external auditors, bankers and local and State regulatory bodies for tax and statutory compliance and reporting. 
  • Manage, motivate, train, evaluate and promote accounting staffs.

Minimum Qualification and Experience Requirements
Bachelor degree in  Accounting or Auditing
Other Required Licences, Professional Qualifications and Certifications
Have certificate of Insurance (LOMA…)
Years of Related Work Experiences
At least 3 years of management accounting experience
Languages Required
Fluent English & Vietnamese
Technical/Professional Competency Requirements:
  • Strong Vietnamese and International Accounting Standards Knowledge and Practice
  • Strong collaboration, negotiation and strong communication skill
  • Strong ability to apply logical, numerical and critical thinking to resolve problems
  • Strong leadership and team management.
  • Ability to work under high pressure, ability to work in a group and independently
  • Able to work to tight time scales
